as the market demands.Procurement DepartmentThe Procurement team is
responsible for securing the equipment Vantage's data centers
require to function. The team leads these efforts from conception
through commissioning, working with Sales, Operations, New Site
Development, and Engineering along the way. Procurement also works
closely with vendor partners to come up with a vertically
integrated design, and we manage these partners to deliver the
projects on schedule and budget. Vantage is unique in that our
technical staff is given the responsibility and authority to
directly drive the process. Our internal team can align long-term
operational sustainability with value engineering and cost metrics
to deliver products aligned with goals of the company. This
approach empowers each member of the team to drive high- impact
decisions and even more impactful results.Position OverviewWe are
seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to join our team as a
Senior Manager, Procurement. In this role, you will manage Owner
Furnished Contractor Installed Equipment and corresponding supply
chains for our data centers. You will coordinate every aspect of
the equipment procurement and delivery process from start to
finish. As a Senior Manager, you will prioritize multiple projects
simultaneously and collaborate regularly with external supply chain
partners and internal teams, including Construction Cost & Finance,
Accounting, Construction, Operations, and Legal.This role can be
based in any of our US locations: Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Santa
Clara, CA; or Ashburn, VA.Essential Job FunctionsProcurement
Management:
- Lead the procurement of various mechanical and electrical
equipment including, but not limited to, Medium Voltage Switchgear,
Transformers, Chillers, CRACs, Switchgear, PDUs, UPSs, and
Generators.
- Prepare and handle RFPs, negotiate contracts, and finalize
deals with vendors.
- Lead all aspects of and manage equipment submittals from
inception to completion.
- Track and ensure timely delivery of procured equipment.Project
Management:
- Manage and interpret electrical single line diagrams,
mechanical riser diagrams, and product specifications for multiple
projects.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated project budgets, ensuring
all procurement activities stay within budgetary constraints.
- Analyze and track project schedules to ensure equipment
delivery aligns with construction timelines.
- Drive project-level tasks and achievements as assigned by the
project management team.Partner Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between supply chain partners and internal
partners, communicating changes in product lead times and
costs.
- Support engineering and sales teams in addressing client
requests and design changes.
- Coordinate the approval and release of necessary equipment
according to the construction schedule.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure all purchases are accurately
costed to projects.Supplier Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to
ensure reliable supply chains and favorable terms.
- Schedule and coordinate on-site start-up and commissioning
support services from vendors.
- Negotiate the best prices with primary and secondary vendors,
as applicable.
- Support complex negotiations for equipment and services from
suppliers and subcontractors.Financial Support:
- Assist Finance and Accounting with invoicing issues, cash flow
forecasts, and budget reconciliation.
- Manage and support equipment inventory planning efforts and
forecasting.
- Additional duties as assigned by ManagementJob Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a
related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain,
procurement, or construction is required.
- Experience in the data center or industrial equipment sector is
strongly preferred.
- Strong technical proficiency in mechanical and electrical
systems.
- Experience with construction and supplier contracts.
- Knowledge of construction management processes.
- Ability to learn quickly and autonomously drive tasks to
closure.
- Strong business acumen and commercial background.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present
technical data comfortably to executive-level leadership.
- Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase
over time as the business evolvesPhysical Demands and Special

- Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 Base + Bonus (this range is
based on Colorado and California market data and may vary in other
locations)
