Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to craft and execute custom menus for a wide variety of events at the Kennedy Center.
  • Lead the culinary team in preparing and presenting fabulous dishes for large-scale, high-profile catered events.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including food cost control, inventory management, and staffing, to ensure flawless execution.
  • Introduce new culinary concepts and programs in line with industry trends and company goals.
  • Mentor and supervise kitchen staff, encouraging a culture of teamwork and excellence.Preferred Qualifications:
    • Culinary degree or relevant certification with proven experience in catering or high-volume foodservice.
    • Expertise in menu creation and event execution for high-end, large-scale catering.
    • Strong understanding of culinary trends, with a focus on presentation, quality, and operational efficiency.
    • Institutional cooking experience is a plus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and other computer applications.
